Hey good folk,
I updated my iMac 2017 to macOS Ventura, and as a consequence, it seems the automatic display brightness feature has bugged. Basically, whenever ambient light changes, the iMac changes brightness immediately without transitions. In other words, the brightness changes within a blink of an eye, which makes it look very jagged.
Previously, brightness changed with a degree of smoothness, slowly bringing itself up/down to the desired level without being sudden (like pressing the brightness control buttons).
I so wish I could get this feature back. Now, the changes are so snappy it feels distracting. It also looks like the automatic feature is more aggressive to ambient light changes all together, changing brightness when moving my head toward the screen etc, which didn't occur in previous macOS.
Anyone experienced anything similar, or have thoughts on how this could be remedied? Thanks!
