I got my iPhone 7 on Friday, and got that all set up easily from the iCloud restore.

Now after updating my Apple Watch to watchOS 3, I just can't for the life of me figure out how to add my card back to Apple Pay on the Watch. Where did this option disappear to??

My watch tells me, "No Cards. Add cards for Apple Pay in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone."

Simple enough, right? Wrong. I cannot find a single mention of Apple Pay anywhere within the app! I even searched for directions online, but Apple seems to be showing old info. It says to go to the My Watch tab, then Wallet & Apple Pay. Well... that doesn't exist. There's just Wallet, which then only shows me options for notifications, but absolutely nothing about Apple Pay or adding cards whatsoever.

What am I missing here?? I remember this being so simple before. Now it's just... gone. Or at least very well hidden.

It's in the wallet app

you may need to add them to your iPhone first?

My credit card is already added into the Wallet app on my iPhone, and works fine (I used it yesterday). The Wallet app on my Apple Watch even shows my recent Ticketmaster tickets, which are mirrored from my iPhone. Yet there is no card on the watch. When I double-tap the side button, it tells me I need to add a card in the Apple Watch app. There is simply no option to do so, as you can see from my screen shots above.

As you can see here, there used to be an extra entry on that screen, for adding a card:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204506

But that no longer exists after the update. Am I missing this somewhere else?

that is weird that yours show wallet and mine has wallet & apple pay in the watch app.

Your wallet app will only say wallet if there is no Apple Pay. When you click the app there should be an option to add card. I've only done this through the phone personally. Phone transfers the info to the Watch.

Yep, that is what is irritating me! I have no idea why Apple Pay is nowhere to be found...

See the screen shots I posted above. There is no option for me to add a card, for some odd reason...

do it through the wallet app on your iPhone, not through the apple watch app.

Are security features such as passcode enabled?

Passcode was always enabled.

Problem solved though... I unpaired and re-paired the watch, went through the exact same steps in the setup process as I did on Friday (passcode, restore from backup, import Apple Pay card, etc), and now everything seems to work perfectly fine. My app actually says "Wallet & Apple Pay" now instead of just "Wallet", and my card pops up when I double-press the side button.

No clue what happened an why it didn't work before, considering I did everything exactly the same way as I did on Friday, but hey... At least it works now!

Thanks to everyone who tried to help :D

Something similar happened to me when I got my iPhone 7. I decided to set up the phone and watch as new devices and had exactly the same issue when I attempted to set up Apple pay on the watch. It just said "wallet" and wouldn't let me add any cards. After trying a few things without luck, since I had just set it up as a new device anyway, I just wiped the watch and set it up as a new device again. This time Apple pay worked without issues.
