Hi, I just updated my MBA to Yosemite and it's transferred my iPhoto library to Photos ... which was expected. I'm not unhappy, but my entire photo library has gone through a ton of transition since it started with iPhoto 1.0
Anyways, I'm thinking I may want to just start fresh with Photos.
Is there an easy way to take have Photos import only the "original" files out of the iPhoto library and leave all of the edits (which take up a lot of space since the early versions of iPhoto kept a copy of every edited image, even simple rotations) behind?
Also, is there an easy way, within Photos, to archive older photos off of the main SSD? My wife's iPhoto library is 200GB and she's on a 256GB SSD (which can't yet be upgraded). I'd like to take care of that before upgrading her to Yosemite.
Thanks.
