updates from countries already selling iphones

can anyone give an update from countries already selling iphones (NZ, Japan?) - i can't seem to find any reports anywhere - did the stores sell out of iphones? did everyone get an iphone and now you can just walk in and get one (similar to US launch last year)? just trying to gage what demand/supply balance is like at the actual stores. thanks for any info or for point me to the right thread if this already exists.

can't believe there is no news on this - does anyone have any links to news about how the launch went from a supply/demand standpoint? thanks
