Hello everyone, I have an iPod Touch 4g (iOs 4.1), jailbroken a long time ago with limera1n.
I'd like to update my iPod, but first I'd like to save my cydia apps AND their data.
Is that even possible ?

From what I've read so far, Appsync 4.0+ would do the trick, too bad it hasn't worked yet :

I turned Installous' iTunes Sync on,
I used iTunes to transfer purchases, and to backup.

However, I can only see in the Apps tab the App Store apps, and not the Installous/cydia ones. And I'm still not sure Appsync will save my data.

So I started to look for alternatives :

- using dropBox and datadeposit
- using what's described in that thread : https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1092698/

Does any of these work ? The most important thing to me is the data, I can always download the apps again. But I have an accounting app with more than a year's worth of expense/income, and I want to make sure this data won't be lost.

How have you been backing up your cydia apps and data? If you really have a year's worth of expense/income data you don't want to lose, you need be taking regular backups of that data, not just when you want to update your iPod.

I do have a backup on my computer with yet another software, so the loss wouldn't be so great.

But I know it's gonna bother me and I'll end up copying every entry one at a time on my iPod.

Anyway, someone said I could try iTools, so that's what I'm gonna do.
