Updating a previously jailbroken iPhone 2G to 3.0

Anyone tried updating a 2G iPhone running the official 2.2.1 software that has been previously jailbroken?

Does it update OK? It doesnt matter if it re-locks it, as long as it updates.

Yes, updates just fine. Everything will be the same, except you won't have your jb apps.

I updated mine and now the unlock is broken .. an yes I updated and did not do a resteore

Will post my experience when it finishes as it sounds like we did a similar update path: I bought it and did a jailbreak/unlock 1.1.4, then official 2.0 and have been updating from itunes ever since.

edit: works great.

I've updated mine and it is still unlocked. UK phone running on Orange.

ha ha with some weird technique I managed to downgrade to 2.2.1 hack it, and now upgrade to 3.0 and it worked
