updating apps on iphone

Hi,
My iphone says I have 19 updates however in the box to put in password it has my old defunct email address. I've gone through the itunes store to change it but the old one keeps showing up on the iphone. When I keep trying it asks if I want to put in my birthday and when I do it tells me I have the wrong birthday... and I dont.
How do I get into the itunes store on my phone to update my apps? I've also reset my password using my new email address but the old one keeps showing up on the phone

what i suggest is to do this: Got to settings > apps store > sign out. Then sign back in with your new account. See if that works.

Try updating the apps in iTunes and then syncing it with your iPhone.
