Updating iOS using downloaded IPSW and iTunes

I've downloaded iOS 6.1.1 for iphone 4 CDMA from Redmond pie in prep of installing evasion jb software. iTunes does not recognize any of the downloaded files as an IPSW. The folder titled firmware contains 3 sub folders with no recognize able file types. What am I missing? Currently on iOS 6.0.1

Apple no longer signs any firmware for iOS6 except 6.1.3
WIthout having saved SHSH for 6.1.1 (or any iOS6 firmware) you cannot restore to any firmware other than current - 6.1.3

Thanks for the clarification. I'm bummed but glad I wasn't having trouble for no reason. I guess I will just save my current 6.0.1 shsh files and jb on 6.0.1. Thanks again for the quick answer!

iFaith should be able to save your 6.0.1 SHSH for your iPhone 4
