If I jailbreak now, on iOS 5.0.1, what can I do when iOS 5.1 is out? I mean if there's a jailbreak available, can I somehow upgrade without losing my various tweaks?

I guess nobody will really know until 5.1 and a jailbreak is out, but historically speaking this has never been possible.

Well most people wait it out when a new iOS version comes out because Apple usually closes the jailbreak exploit. So when it does come out I suggest you wait. And I think there's an app were you can backup your jailbreak tweaks when you re-jailbreak. Here's a link on what you need and how to do it http://www.howtogeek.com/105773/how...break-apps-and-settings-between-ios-upgrades/

Hope this answers your questions.

Yeah i use one called apt backup.

As for jail breaking you can either wait until a jailbreak is released for 5.1 and is in my needs un tethered or stay put on what your on or just upgrade to 5.1 and wait !

The choices are half the fun !
