Hello all,

I just recently bought an iPhone 2G which will arrive in a few days time. This iPhone is both unlocked and jailbroken, and from what I understand, already running third party apps.

Now I'm not too interested in the phone being jailbroken, just as long as it will work with my T-Mobile UK sim card. At the moment, the iPhone I'm getting is still on firmware update 1.1.4, but I would like to update it to 2.1. Is it as simple as just connecting it to iTunes and 2.1 is updated to the phone? Or do I have to use Pwnage 2.1? I'm afraid of bricking my phone. Like I said before, I don't really care for the jail break. If I was to connect it to iTunes now, at 1.1.4, would it simply be able to update to 2.1 without a problem?

Also, as I am using T-Mobile and not the O2 network that is locked to the iPhone, does my phone need to go through activation or should I skip this process?

Thanks.

Update with iTunes, jailbreak and unlock with Quickpwn or WinPwn or Pwnage Tool.
