Hello forum

I intend to update my future Mac (its MacOS) without AppleID. Is it possible? How?

Thank you!

Bill

PS
I heard that for that purpose an installer can be downloaded from https://support.apple.com/downloads/macos
to the application folder.
But am unable to find such an installer. It seems to me that under that URL only MacOS are downlaodable...

No, it's not possible. Why? Because macOS updates are distributed via the Mac App Store, for which (you guessed it) an Apple ID is needed.

It IS "possible".
But it depends on which version of the OS you want.
But that depends on WHERE you get your copy of the OS -from-.
(I will say no more)

It's possible. I do wonder, though, why you're concerned about the Apple ID.
You can run a script like installinstallmacos.py from here https://github.com/munki/macadmin-scripts to get the installer from Apple software update servers.
