Updating multiple iOS devices, including iPads

I've noticed an annoying habit that iTunes has. If you have a family and each person has their own iPad/iPhone, and you go to update them, iTunes will download the iOS update, update the device, then delete it.

So then I have to re-download the update again, and again, for each subsequent device. What a waste of bandwidth!

Anyone know a shortcut so it doesn't have to keep downloading the same software update umpteen times? Thanks.

Each device has a different file, so unless you have two of the same device, it has to download a separate file for each device.
