Updating Office

I am trying to update office and i get this error message. I did the command option esc buttons to force close apps. I also said close apps in the installer screen but still did not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

SyncServicesAgent.app

If you don't want to close these applications now, choose Install Later.

Close all open applications before running the update and see what happens. If that doesn't work, download the latest Office patch from Microsoft and go from there.

Log out under Apple in the Menu bar. When you log in, hold down the Shift key. This disables all login items including the hidden ones like the Microsoft Database daemon and SyncServicesAgent.

INSTALL BASICS

If you have downloaded the updater from Microsoft Downloads

Download updater.
Log out/in as described above.
Select the updater and install.
RESTART

If you want to use the Microsoft Autoupdater (MAU), follow these steps:

Open any Office application and select "Check for Updates" under Help in the Menu bar. Once MAU is launched, select "Keep in Dock"
Log out/in as described above.
Select the MAU in the Dock and download the updater.
After it downloads, quit the MAU then install.
RESTART

Thanks. This is a better solution. But I wish that iPhoto had an option to delete previous version of videos and photos if we do not need them anymore...
