It's been bugging me whether I should update the OS X to 10.4.9 or not.

The background of my problem is that I had to alter the .plist file in iSync 2.3 in order for my phone to be able to sync properly to the computer. The modification does indeed make it work up until I realize that the recent Security Update 2007-004 doesn't show up on my Software Update most likely because I'm still running on 10.4.8.

My question is, should I restore the old .plist before updating to 10.4.9 or the update will actually rewrite the modified .plist into a new unmodified one anyways?

I'm not concerned about re-modifying the .plist again in the future, but rather concerned about whether the modified .plist could actually fail the update or not.

Thanks for your time and I would appreciate any kind of feedback. :)
