Updating to iOS5. Reasure me i got this correct.

4.2.1
BB 3.10.01
Jailbroken with Redsnow
Unlocked with Gevey Sim not not Gevey Ultra

I WANT TO PRESERVE MY BB

Steps im taking

1) Download Official Firmware iOS5 ( iPhone3,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore )
2) Download redsn0w 0.9.10b5c
3) Then just upgrade to Ios5 with Redsn0w & JB at the same time?

I'm guessing that redsn0w will automatically create the custom firmware and JB it?


I have my SHSH blobs saved for 4.2.1.... if I wanted to could i go back to 4.2.1 without any issues?

download pwnage tool or sn0wbreeze to create a custom IPSW that wont update your BB. point servers TOWARDS APPLE.

Redsn0w can make a NO_BB IPSW which you can use to restore to 5.01 while preserving BB, afterward jailbreak with redsn0w
