Just noticed on my new Macbook Air M1 this update is available. Read through it, not much in there that would be of much use to me. That being said is it a good idea to just update as a way to keep my mac updated with any security updates etc going forward.

Hello, i've a mac late 2015 with i7 4 ghz and 32gb ram with fusion storage....can i upgrade to Ventura os? actually i've monterey
thanks,
Luca

No, your 2015 iMac is not supported for Ventura. You could go down the OCLP route for unsupported machines, there are dedicated threads here on the topic. Otherwise,'The Eclectic Light Company' offers a couple of free apps - SilentKnight and XProCheck that will help keep security up to date on Monterey.
As to the OP's query, unless there is some feature in Ventura that you can't live without, I'd wait for the .1 update. Give Apple some time to shake the inevitable bugs out.

Will do that, thanks.

This is not necessarily true. Sure, these updates will help show if some of the anti-malware tools are not up to date but it doesn’t account for the fact that Apple doesn’t fully patch older operating systems.

I did the upgrade on my early 2015 MacBook Air using the OCLP route and it works awesome. sleep is an issue but that may fix itself.

Hello guys,
just to update that i've successfully installed ventura on my mac with opencore patcher tool (they provide also the update...now i've installed the last update for OS 13.1)...after 1 month, at the moment, everything seems to be ok.

I didn't upgrade. Kept my M2 Air at Monterey and it runs flawlessly. I've heard too many bad things about Ventura so I'm just going to tread water while they get all the issues fixed.

I didn't do monetary yet was scared after hearing about the bugs at the time, now their offering me Ventura to upgrade. Also seen about bugs in it on the forum here, so don't want to risk it if I can.

I have a 2020 Mac pro, still with the intel chip. Not new M1 or 2.

Is there a way to even do Monetary if you skipped it? Or you just get ventura?
