Updating to Mavericks/Losing previous lion os x preinstalled apps?

If I update from Lion os x to the new Mavericks os x, will I lose any of my previously pre-installed apps that came with Lion os x such as iLife (iphoto,garage band,imovie,etc.)??
 
No, for two reasons:
1. Installing Mavericks simple replaces the old OS with the new one, leaving all your data, apps and settings on the disk.

2. You have a backup of all your files, don't you?
