So here is a dumb question. As I lose weight and use the activity/workout apps should I be updating the original weight I entered into the setup?

How do you update the weight? Through the health app on the phone?

Never mind. Checked the watch manual and it is on the Apple Watch app under Health.

I have a FitBit Aria scale, linked up to MyFitnessPal, which is linked to HealthKit. I just checked and it's been updating my weight for me automatically.

In the Companion App? Are you sure because I don't think Apple has an API or allows any 3ed party access to it.

The scale app writes the data into HealthKit and then the Apple Watch app reads it back out when it sees the weight value change.

I have WiThings and I see it is the same, but coincidently I think it is the same as I inputed originally. I will check it tomorrow and see if the Companion App is updated with the Health App.

Thx.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I really want a scale that automatically syncs to HealthKit to update my weight. I was originally going to get the Withings scale, but their reviews have been tanking recently.

Recommendations? Thoughts?

I have the Withings WS-50 scale linked to My Fitness Pal. It also automatically uploads my weght. Health Kit is updated as well.

Thank you! For some reason I was unable to find how to update weight, and while I was going to search for the answer, it slipped my mind until now.
