Hey, I was just wondering whether I can upgrade my USB 1 ports to USB 2? I have seen a support forum saying it's possible by buying a PCI card, but I am assuming this is for a windows PC, and whether a new USB port PCI card will work with my Power Mac. Also, if it does, whether it has to be a special type?

Thanks,
(specs below)

Ok so what's the difference in the one you recommended to, say, this one (an ebay link)

The specs for the second are:
Size: 200 x 85 x 85mm
USB 2.0 compliant
4 external port + 1 internal port
Frequency: 80Hz ~ 10 KHz
Output power: 900 Watt
480Mbps maximum data transfer rate
32-bit 33MHz PCI interface (2.0 compliant)
RMS: 3W (1.5W+1.5W)
Supports PCI bus power management
Supports USB 2.0: Up to 480Mbit/sec high-speed data transfers
Supports USB 1.1: Up to 12Mbit/sec
Supports Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP
CE and FCC certified

Thanks,

The difference is, the ebay link card doesn't support Mac OS X, so it's not going to work for you.

No, what I meant is you need to purchase a USB 2.0 card that specifically states it supports Mac OS X, and the manufacturer will have a driver for you to use.

You cannot buy that card that you linked and have it work with your Mac.
