can one install a sata adapter card and run a raptor hard drive?

what about raid card and running a couple of ata or serial drives..??

I had a sonnet sata card and a raptor in my G4 MDD dual 867. The sata card causes a delay fof a few seconds at boot up, but once it's up and running it was a nice speed bump. Ben..

I have the G4 1,42 with the Raptor bootdrive. Best setup possible, this baby is lightning fast and smokes many G5s.
Anyways, I dont understand why you have a delay?? There must be something wrong, it should boot up very fast. Maybe you have some wrong settings in Disk utility..
I use a two channel Seritek card, which works perfect - I am very happy with it.
