Should upgrade OS X 11.6 to 12.3 while using NVMEfix?
I read about some issues installing Monterey with non genuine Apple SSD, due to firmware upgrade. However, it seems there is a workaround that does not require to change the SSD, and maybe, read somewhere that it is only required to upgrade to the latest BigSur firmware.
Nevertheless, I would like to know, if someone have upgrade OS X 11.6 to 12 using non genuine SSD, and if there are advantages.
I have a Macbook 13" Early2015 with 11.6.5 with firmware 428.60.3.0.0 running a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500Gb with NVMeFix.kext and SsdPmEnabler.kext.
My current configuration is quite good.
The Speed is good aprox. 1200 MB/s write and 1400 MB/s read, and power consumption is not bad, with 0v in Idle mode.
The boot time is not good, 1 minute to boot the system.
