Upgrade 2010 15" 2.66i7 to 2011 17" 2.2i7?

So currently have a 2010 HRAG 2.66 i7 with 8gb ram and 240gb vertex 2 ssd, friend of mine is putting up his 2011 17" up for sale

specs are

2.2ghz i7
17 inch 2011
240gb vertex 2
750gb opitbay drive

for 2200

is it a noticeable upgrade? should i do it or wait for a macbook refresh?

It's tempting to have the latest and greatest but I honestly don't see what's what's the point. Can you tell us why you want to upgrade? Is there something wrong with yours at the moment? Do you need the extra 2'' screen? You have to be a bit more specific.

I can honestly say, if you can sell yours at a reasonable price, and you have the extra cash on the side for the upgrade, sure why not. Again, the latest and greatest is always tempting but you have to ask yourself do you truly need it.
