Hi,
This is just a thought, but I've ordered a Dell UP2414Q which I can connect to my Windows machine and I have read I can connect to my late-2012 rMBP (A1398) with Nvidia 650M graphics card. The mini-displayport and HDMI can only handle 30Hz at 4K. Has anyone tried (or has the facility to try) upgrading the right IO module on the Macbook to the later model (661-8312), which I think supports HDMI 2.0. Just wondering if this could get the old Macbook running at 4K 60Hz? I expect the interfaces aren't compatible, but worth asking.
Has anyone managed any other ways to get 60Hz working on this machine, such as a patch to get MST working on DisplayPort 1.0?
I know it's a long-shot, but just wanted to ask.
Thanks
Karl
