Hi,
I'm on 3GS iOS 5.1.1 (jailbroken and unlocked). I'd like to upgrade to iOS 6 (I believe the latest is 6.1.6) with jailbreak and option to unlock. I have downloaded p0sixspwn. I have a few questions:

1) Do I need to install stock 6.1.6 from iTunes before jailbreaking it or just directly use p0sixspwn and it will allow me to create custom ipsw file?

2) To my understanding, there is no way to preserve baseband. However, since my model is manufactured in late 2009 (but new bootrom if I recall), I think I do have an option to downgrade baseband and unlock later on, right?

Thanks

You must restore to stock iOS 6.1.6 using iTunes. If your device was made in 2009, you can downgrade its baseband at anytime.
