Im not available to upgrade to get the new iphone but my grandpa is available will i be able to use his upgrade so i could i get the new iphone?

Yeah. Not sure if u guys can swap phones and keep sim cards.

I was wondering the same thing....only thing is I have Verizon and unfortunately the Verizon phones don't use sim cards.

Anybody know if it is possible to do the upgrade but not have to trade numbers as well?

Yea. If i got it i was just gonna put my sim card in it instead of his

Verizon would know. Why not be honest and ask them? It's not like it's illegal.

If you're using the GSM version with SIM cards, then yes.

I had sprint and i was able to use my dads upgrade to get a blackberry than they just changed our number back so im sure u could do it with verizon.

verizon will definitely let you use an upgrade of someone on your family plan. you can do it online or they can do it in the store

Sweet, I was planning on calling tomorrow to talk about my plan/charges anyways, so I guess I'll just confirm it with them tomorrow. Probably won't be getting the 5 until November or December anyways.
