Upgrade from 10.3.9???

I cannot seem to upgrade my ibook from 10.3.9 /MAC OS X Panther. Can anyone please advise?

How are you trying to upgrade? You will need to buy a retail of either Tiger (10.4) or Leopard (10.5) depending on which you want...

Unless you have a good reason to upgrade I'd be tempted to say stay with 10.3.9. Both Tiger and Leopard like more RAM than Panther...

i also want to upgrade but i only have 256 ram so would like to keep my 10.3.9 but i v=cant install latest itunes and various other apps is there any way around this?

specs are ibook g4 30 gb hdd, 256 ram (soon to be 640) 800mhz cpu cd-rw/dvd combo drive 12"

Apple say yes. You'll probably need the 640Mb of RAM to make it worthwhile though...
