I'm upgrading to the 4GS and I'm trying to decide on Carrier. I have 5 lines on ATT , w/ unlimited Data. However Verizon has much better coverage here. In fact I can't always get signals in my house.

My question is is the antennea in the 4S that much better than the 3gS that if I stay with ATT I will get better reception just do to the better components? Or should I just switch to Verizon ?

Don't get confused...the 4S is not 4G.

My guess is AT&T will benefit from the speed boost to 14.4 Mbps whereas Verizon I think should theoretically cop out at 7.2.

Again, not sure.

You should definitely see a significant improvement in signal quality from 3GS to 4S because of the advancements in antenna design. whether it will be enough for your particular location is impossible to say.

I wasn't talking about Data speeds but actual voice reception.

4 is better

the 4 is much better where I am, compared to my 3gs which I still use. No question is manages to make/receive calls and have a stronger signal than my 3gs
