My current specs are in my sig. Basically I work shooting my own personal videos as well as for others and work doing Video Editing.
My machine for the most part is pretty good, but I've been thinking on either upgrading my current system or possibly buying some new camera equipment with the $2k I have.
Most will say keep your current computer and buy gear, others will say the opposite.
I spend a lot of time converting HD files, compressing, uploading, minimal motion graphics, etc.
Would a 2012 imac 27" be a good move or just buy a 2011 27" iMac and save about $500.
