I have a first-generation Intel iMac that I've been using for almost three years, but I want something that I can take around with me.
I've been eyeing the MacBook Pro as a potential update, but since Apple updated the notebooks I'm actually considering buying the $1,299 MacBook.
Someday I'm going to be needing a powerful desktop computer to use in my home studio for audio engineering, but for the time being I don't need anything fancy.
I do a little bit of Photoshop on my iMac (nothing serious, just learning right now - the glossy screen won't bug me), casual use such as iChat, Safari, iTunes, and iLife applications, and a bit of recording using Logic.
The only thing I was worried about the MacBook at first was the graphics card. Since it's only a 9400M, I was worried it wasn't capable of handling graphic intensive applications. But, since I don't play any video games anymore, I stopped worrying about it.
Should I just buy a MacBook?
