Hi,
I have a late 2010 15" MBP with a 320GB HD. I am looking to upgrade to a 1TB hard drive and also up the RAM. Any advice on brands/size? I am looking at this HD:

But would I be better off with an SSHD?

I use it for uni, medical science, so watching lectures and 3D images etc.

SSD is a must if you are upgrading your drive. It will completely transform the overall performance of your machine. It will literally feel like a brand new computer. If you need more storage than an SSD can offer, consider replacing your optical drive with a second hard drive.

Thanks everyone! Would this drive be good?:
