Upgrade HD & Memory?

Do you think it would be a good idea to upgrade from the 200gb HD to a 500gb and to upgrade from 2gb of memory to 4 gb of memory?

I have been looking at the prices and it would only be about $250!

Also what memory and HD would you suggest? I just picked the first two on the list.

Yes. Both those products are great qualiy. The OCZ and GSKILL RAM available from newegg are also great quality. The GSKILL comes with a 3 years warranty.

Ah, yes, you are correct sir! I was thinking of PNY I think... I use GSKILL in my current gen MacBook. Now that I think of it, it was between Kingston and GSKILL because they both have lifetime warranty.

I'll likely put some GSKILL when I get my new MBP.

I haven't ever really shopped for ram so i don't know which brands are good.
All i know is that corsair is advertised in comp mags a lot

Corsair, Kingston, GSKILL, OCZ, and Patriot are very good brands of memory. The Corsair is a steal at $45 but its a mail in rebate, so you pay $80 something up front. but if you dont mind, then its a great deal. Newegg is out of stock of it right now though. Good luck in your search! I own the GSKILL and love it.
