Upgrade iPhone 1.1

I was just wondering if i would have any problems upgrading my unlocked hakced iPhone (firmware 1.1, bootloader 3.9) to a newer firmware, and what firmware i should use, the official one or the new beta??

I upgraded my 1.1.1 the other day to 1.1.4.

I made sure it was all backup up. Put it into recovery mode and got iTunes to update the firmware etc... then when it came back up saying wrong SIM I ran the Liberty+ program and jailbroke and unlocked it.

All working fine.
