Hi,

I have jailbroken iPhone 3G ios 4.1 (8B117) with model firmware 05.14.02. Is there anyway I can restore it to factory settings with itunes? I would like to upgrade it to ios 4.2. I have factory unlocked my iPhone but I need to restore with itunes to make it work.

Please give me suggestions. I have searched all over internet but didn't find right solution.

If I restore my iPhone with itunes it gets stuck in recovery mode.

Obviously you didn't search enough but anyway....put your iPhone in DFU mode and restore to 4.2.1

I have done enough research...the problem was with DFU mode. I was not able to do DFU mode in right because there was no slide to power off. Also I have downloaded corrupted 4.2.1 ipa file. I have downloaded the ipa file again and jailbroken my phone to 4.2 and then upgraded to 4.2.1
