I got the 2010 iMac 21.5'' 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, etc...

Anyway, whenever I'm on iChat or using Facetime, the quality is real bad, so I'm assuming that I got the iSight camera with the 640x480p.

I want to get the 1280x720p Facetime HD camera.

Is there anyway to upgrade that (the camera)?

Meaning that the other person you are iChatting / Facetiming with is the only one who will possibly benefit, the image you will see will remain the same as it's dictated by the other person's camera. Also bandwidth will play a part in the quality of the camera image.

Personally, i just got an external cam. I got the Logitech C910 (i think that's the name) and it provides up to 1080p recording/720p chat. I find the quality to be far better than the FaceTime HD cam and it's really not that big. Just an idea.
