I am looking at upgrading the 250GB HDD 5400 RPM of my mid 2010 13" Macbook Pro to at least 1 TB or possibly 12.5mm 1.5TB if someone can recommend a 1.5TB that I can get to fit without causing a significant bulge. I have looked around on line and the 1TB isn't a problem but 1.5TB would be ideal as it would give me plenty of room of growth of handbrake movie copys of my dvds for Apple TV usage.

Can someone point out if this is indeed possible and give me a few options for the 1.5TB HDD that I could get to fit?

Personally with my 13" 2010, I've put a 256GB SSD in the HDD Bay, and I'm eventually going to put another drive in the ODD, maybe this might be a good idea for you as well? Thats unless anyone knows a 1.5TB drive of course!

fyi I think I might have found a possible option for my macbook pro hdd upgrade. It is a Toshiba Aquarius 1.5TB 12.5mm hard drive. I still have some reservations but read from a couple reviews that it will fit and work fine. Anyone hear know anything about Toshiba Hdds? Are they any good? 12.5mm definitely fit in a mid 2010 Macbook pro?

12.5mm will fit into a 2010 13" MBPro no problem.

I wish they started selling these 1TB+ 12.5mm notebook drives in volume already.
