So I bought my first mac last week. It's a 2.2 white macbook. So far, its been great to use. Update is showing a 109mb upgrade to 10.5.1. Is this safe to update? I havent had any stability problems so far. In fact, I really love this machine.

Also another couple of quick questions. For now, I am mainly using the macbook at home using the power adaptor. Do I need to unplug it sometimes to cycle the battery? Or is it ok to always use the power adaptor?

Finally, I think the fonts (havent changed anything, using all default settings), may be slightly fuzzy. Anything I can do to work on that?

Thanks folks. Have a great day:)

So far its been great for me, and using the power adapter is fine...

Fonts often look bad when you switch OS, and it will not be long until you're used to OSX's font rendering :)

Thanks for the quick response. I'm sure my eyes will get used to the fonts. I just wanted to make sure there wasnt some setting I was missing. :)

you can change the font smoothing style in the Appearance pane of System Preferences.

Hmmmmm .... maybe Apple released the update so that it would screw up everyones MacBook. Yea that's it. LOL

Just do the update!!!!
