Hi all,

I have a semi-tethered iPhone 4 on iOS 5.0.
Can someone please explain how I can upgrade to a Jailbroken 5.1.1 using Absinthe 2.0, without having to re-install my cracked Apps like SBS Settings, and Angry Birds?

Of course I could just download the iOS 5.1.1, then Jailbreak it, by I guess this will mean I lose my Apps in the process.

Thanks.

As per forum rules, we cannot help with regard to warez, cracked apps, etc.

Anyways SBSettings is free and Angry Birds is 99¢.

To update to 5.1.1; you need to backup your device, restore it in iTunes to 5.1.1, and then jailbreak it via Absinthe 2.0; after the jailbreak, you can restore from your backup through iTunes.

Thanks for your help.
So when I backup my iPhone in iTunes, does itr save all my Apps to iTunes (ie an identical image of my iPhone) or does it simply keep a list of all the Apps, then re-download the Apps when I restore the backup through iTunes?

Thanks.
