I already installed 16 gb of g.skill ram and a 512 gb Samsung 840 pro ssd over a year ago. This has helped me tremendously when it came to performance. I was wondering what other options I have that could upgrade my mbp further? Here are some I was thinking about, would like to hear everyone's opinions about my options.

1) I was looking into the Bluetooth 4.0 card, it seems I can't use handoff with my iPhone without it in a stick early 2011 Bluetooth card, has anyone done this and know where I can get it and for how much?

2) another thing I was thinking of was replacing my optical drive with either a smaller ssd size or my old hdd. I am looking for more storage, any suggestions?

3) I'm currently running Mavericks, I want to update to Yosemite but was a bit apprehensive because of the whole "disabling the kext security signing," is it really necessary? I don't really download 3rd party programs from the Internet except for the App Store, but how vulnerable will I be if I do it?

4) I'm not sure if it's possible, but I sometimes see i7 processor logic boards on sale, would it be possible to upgrade my current one?

Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
