ok first off is it even possible and/or worth it? I have an old powerbook 500 and it's kind of beat up and i was thinkink of selling it but why not try to upgrade it to a Intel mac (if i can) and if i can where can i get some parts? Thanx

While possible, it'd be pretty difficult. You'd have to effectively buy a MacBook Pro and stuff its internals into your old PowerBook. Unless you really want to do this for the fun/novelty factor, simply using the MacBook Pro as a MacBook Pro is probably an easier, safer and cheaper option.

The only upgrade I would consider is junking the old and buying the new...

Best plan.
Easist plan.
Cheapest plan.

Macbook Pro

Just get a new MacBook Pro—even after all the work, it still work be a good as just getting a MacBook Pro.
