Upgrade question: Mac Pro 1.1 CPU

Hi,

i have two questions. Current i use a Mac Pro 1.1 with 2x 2,66Ghz Dual Core Intel Xeon. I plan to upgrade it. In an other threat i've read that the best upgrade Option is an XEON 5365. But will this CPU work out of the box or do i need to change some Software? Is there anything i need to consider?

My second question is: Will an ATI Radeon 5770 Graphic Card designed for PC work out of the box or do i need to flash something?

Yes, that cpu will work. You need a matched pair though. the cpu's will work but will not be reported correctly in system profiler until you flash the efi to 2,1.
My pc 7950 worked out of box, I flashed it for boot screens.
