Upgrade question?

So I'm on a family plan i currently own an I4 and my dad owns a 3gs. He has availability for an upgrade and if gets an I4S and gives it to me and I switch my Sim card into it will I still keep my unlimited data plan? Also my upgrade isn't available till may so say the chance of an I5 coming does happen will I still be able to keep that contract date of upgrading?

Yes and Yes. Just make sure that if you're dad doesn't have an iphone (or any smart phone for that matter), you have to sign up for a data plan with an iphone. If you don't cancel it, and he's using an older phone, he'll be paying for a data plan he doesn't need.
