Just buy the Snow Leopard upgrade disk for $29. It should work fine as long as you have an Intel chip Mac.

$24.99 on amazon, but snow leopard upgrade is only if already on leopard. Doesn't work with tiger. boxed set with leopard and snow leopard for $128 on amazon.
