I've had my imac for about a year now. Core2 duo 2.0ghz, 1 gb ram, 160gb hd, 17" screen.

Great computer. I just installed leopard and things seem a tad slower. (not to mention I can't turn the damn thing off now without it freezing)

In terms of speed and ram, I know more is always better. But, would upgrading from 1 to 2gb of ram make a real difference?

For reference I do a lot of iMovie and iDVD stuff, office apps and basic internet stuff.

Thanks.

simple answer: yes
Not simple: Maybe, is it really freezing or just looks like its freezing for like a minute or two and then keeps going on its way. if its the latter then my simple answer stands
