Hi,
I want to upgrade the RAM of my 21.5 inch iMac Late-2012 to 16 Gb, but an ebay seller said that it can't be done (?). According to Apple it's possible: http://store.apple.com/us/mac/family/imac
I know they have to tear all the front display in order to do so, but it's doable. So, would you recommend me doing this?
Thanks in advance

I would not recommend it. If you were to try it yourself, it's possible you would void your warranty. And I do not believe Apple would do it. Personally I think you would be better to sell it and buy what you want. Either get the 21.5" with 16 GB RAM or maybe go to the 27" which is easy to upgrade RAM yourself.

Look at this guide and decide for yourself if you are really able to do all of this:

It can be done however if your warranty is important to you then it's best not done. OWC may offer a service for it though, you may want to check with them.
