Hi,

I have a MacBook pro 13 inch mid 2010 with processor 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. Yesterday I tried to upgrade my ram from 4gb to 8gb but only utilizing one slot only. When I boot up my mac and check the system status it show me the ram still 4gb instead of 8gb ... the installer told me the processor unable to take up 8gb and only can take up 4gb

Is this true ? Anyone can help

Thanks

That should take up to 16GB of RAM. Be sure to use both slots as Apple says in their support document.
For best performance, fill both memory slots, installing an equal memory module in each slot.
