Anyone able to use these SSD upgrades on the late model MBPr? Seems like it will work and also allow the option of using the old drive as an external SSD.

They won't work with latest model, but should be ok for the 2012 rMBP

As noted, these Jetdrive ones are for the 2012's.

The Haswell rMBPs use PCI-e drives and so fare there are no third party models out there, although OWC does apparently have a prototype (I think I saw a photo of a mockup from a trade show recently?). Either way, you'll have to wait for something to be released for the 2013 models or source an Apple drive from somewhere.

My JetDrive 960GB is on order. If you have a new rMBO, you can get PCI-e SSDs from OWC and perhaps others.

There are no PCIe upgrade kits for the late-2013 Haswell rMBPs.

The upgrade kit from OWC and Transcend will only work on 2012 rMBPs and early-2013 rMBPs with mSATA.
