Hello

I have a santa rosa macbook, 2.2 c2d. I purchased the new seagate momentus 7200.3 320 gig 7200 rpm HD for my macbook. I put the drive into the macbook, but when I tried to install the OSX leopard install disk says that it cannot install to my disk. I've tried formatting every which way.

Any helps?

It should work ..... your partition scheme type is set to GUID and not MBR right?

Did you choose how many partitions from the drop-down list even if you only want one? Also the format type should be Mac OS Extended (journaled) and you should name it.

If all that is correct than you have a hardware problem. Did you move your EMI shield from the old to the new and get it seated properly? Could it be a defective HD?
