I have my ipod touch at 1.1.1 and added lots of apps and set up custom wallpapers.

It is just the way I like it.

If I use apple update and up it to 1.1.2 will I screw things up?

Will I lose all the apps I put on it?

Should I leave it at 1.1.1?

Thanks
John

I asked this in another post. Not sure what the benefits of 1.1.2 are. Someone has to know.......

You get an editable calendar and they close the TIFF exploit. That's basically it. Nothing that can't be obtained in 1.1.1. Use okotoPrep before going to 1.1.2 or else you will lose everything. When you update, you will lose all of your apps but you need OkotoPrep so that you can jailbreak 1.1.2. Search the forum and you will find guides on how to do that.

I also think Safari is a lot more stable in 1.1.2, and secondly it seems a lot snappier when going back to the springboard in programs.

It's simple enough, so I'd do it.

I was wondering the same thing.

But I have done it now, and it was a pretty simple process (prob took 30mis or so) and I've gotta say that the springboard seems quite a bit snappier and stabler, especially when quitting apps.

I reckon you should do it. Sounds like 1.1.3 will take a while to be hacked, with all the new security enclosed in it, so this is as good as it will get for a while.

Hope that helps you somewhat.
