upgrade to 5.1.1

can i just upgrade my firmware in iTunes to 5.1.1 for my iphone4s at&t and ipad2, then jailbreak? or do i have to download the 5.1.1 firmware from iclarified.com?

just seems so much easier to just upgrade inside of iTunes to 5.1.1 then jailbreak, so i dont have to spend hours uploading all my music and apps back on my idevices again.

I updated my iphone 4 with itunes before jailbreaking it. I guess you can do the same for your iphone 4s.

Its the same Firmware either way. I know, I actually felt weird updating the 4S through iTunes after so long of avoiding it's updates. Just don't do the Over The Air update through the iPhone. I heard that mucks things up.
