Sorry for another one of these threads but need opinions. I'm currently using a 5S. Looking at upgrading to the 7 Plus or the 8 Plus. I'm from Australia so I'll use Australian prices.

7 Plus 128GB - $1000
8 Plus 64GB - $1230

Do you think the extra $230 is worth getting the new phone (despite less storage)? To be honest, the only feature on the 8 Plus that attracts me is the better camera and faster charging. I guess the rest is a bonus. Thoughts? Planning on keeping this for 3-4 years.

With what you're looking at in Australia, I would upgrade to the 7 Plus 128GB. You can keep the 7 Plus for 3-4 years, and I suspect the 64GB 8 Plus may leave you tight on storage.

I'm looking to upgrade from a 6S, giving the 6S to my wife, who is still using a 4S and is very satisfied with it. She couldn't care less about keeping up with technology. Looking at the 8 Plus, the 64GB is a bit tight and the 256GB is overkill. I think Apple is quite aware of that and fashioned the phones accordingly to justify the price increase. In the U.S., the 256GB 8 plus will be $949 plus sales tax, $1015.43 in our locale.

The 128GB 7 Plus will be $769 plus sales tax, $822.83 total. That's almost $200 less. If I upgrade, the 7 Plus 128GB looks more attractive as far as the better buy overall to me.
